The Journal for Translational Respiratory Immunology serves as a bridge between basic immunological research and clinical practice in respiratory medicine. We prioritize manuscripts that translate molecular or cellular discoveries into therapeutic, diagnostic, or prognostic advancements for respiratory diseases (asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, and infectious respiratory conditions).

Editorial Standards & Ethics

Our journal adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

  • Transparency & Disclosure: All authors and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. The journal requires a signed conflict of interest statement from the corresponding author on behalf of all co-authors upon submission.

  • Authorship Criteria: We strictly follow the ICMJE authorship criteria. All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the work, participated in drafting/revising the manuscript, and approved the final version.

  • Research Integrity: Plagiarism, data fabrication, and redundant publication are strictly prohibited. All submissions will be screened using professional similarity-detection software.

Peer Review Process

The journal employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness and reduce bias.

  • Initial Screening: Manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team for scope, originality, and adherence to formatting guidelines.

  • Expert Review: If deemed suitable, the manuscript is sent to at least two independent experts in the field.

  • Editorial Decision: Based on reviewer feedback, the Editor-in-Chief makes a decision: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

  • Transparency: We encourage reviewers to provide constructive, evidence-based critiques rather than personal or vague opinions.

Manuscript Guidelines

To ensure consistency and high-quality reporting, all submissions must comply with the following:

  • Reporting Standards: Where applicable, authors must adhere to established reporting guidelines, such as CONSORT (for randomized trials), PRISMA (for systematic reviews), or STROBE (for observational studies).

  • Structure: Original research articles should follow the IMRaD format: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion.

  • Ethics Statement: Studies involving human participants or animal models must include a statement in the "Materials and Methods" section confirming that the study was approved by an appropriate institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee and that informed consent was obtained.

  • Figures & Tables: Must be provided in high resolution. Figures should be submitted as separate, high-quality files.

Open Access & Accessibility

The journal supports the dissemination of knowledge through an open-access model. We aim for brevity and clarity, as concise communication is more accessible to the global scientific community. We prefer clear, data-driven manuscripts that avoid excessive jargon and adhere to strict word counts (up to 3,000 words for original articles).

Note to Authors: Before submitting, please ensure your work fits the translational nature of our scope. We are specifically looking for research that directly informs clinical understanding or patient management in respiratory immunology.
